Soloist Auditions

Hello Everyone!
We will be holding auditions for soloists for the 2026 performance of "Messiah" on Saturday, September 12th in the nave of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 9020 S. Saginaw Rd. Stay tuned for more information on how to sign up for an audition slot. Note: If you absolutely cannot make it the 12th, we will be accepting video auditions as well.

Please be prepared to sing works suitable for your voice type from Haendel’s "Messiah".

All those auditioning are expected to bring their own copy of music; an accompanist will be provided.

Chorus Members

Hello everyone!

The chorus rehearsals for this year's "Messiah" are October 24th, 31st, November 7th, 14th and dress rehearsal on November 21st with the performance being on November 22nd. Choristers MUST attend at least three of the regular rehearsals and dress rehearsal is mandatory. Rehearsals are from 10:30 a.m.-noon.

Please bring your own copy of Messiah – any edition. We have some copies available for sale if you do not have one. Also, bring a couple sharpened pencils.

Choruses: numbers 4, 9, 12, 17, 21, 22, 24, 33 (semi-chorus until C), 44, 46, 51, 53

Dress rehearsal with orchestra (attendance mandatory – NO exceptions):

Saturday, November 21 – 9:00 call (seated and ready to sing), 10:00-12:30 rehearsal

Please note there is a Friday evening rehearsal with strings for the solos so we will use most of the Saturday rehearsal for choruses (you will likely not be done early)

Performance

Sunday, November 22 – 3:00 call, 4:00 performance

Concert attire (chorus AND soloists) – pit black – black long sleeved shirt or blouse (no ties, no jackets), black pants or skirt, black socks or stockings, black shoes.

Reminder: no perfume, cologne, aftershave or other scented toiletries

You will need to provide your own black folder.
